The Superhero 5k, Vol. VI is a wacky, fun-filled 5k for a great cause! The Superhero 5k features costumed runners, a course full of superhero favorites and maybe even a villain or 2 to chase through the course. Before the race, participants and spectators can enjoy snacks, games, music and more. This years Superhero 5k is brought to you by OhioHealth!
Happening just before the 5k, the youngest superheroes around will participate in a Kids Adventure Course complete with silly obstacles and fun, all while the Superhero Runners cheer them on before beginning their 5k race! After the race, stick around for prizes going to our top runners, the best costumes and the top fundraisers.
All of the proceeds from the event support the mission of the Athens CASA/GAL Program, which is a court-based agency that recruits and trains community volunteers to serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs). CASA Volunteers represent the best interests of children who are involved in the Juvenile Court System because of abuse and neglect. Without CASA Volunteers, children are left to navigate the system without a trained advocate by their side. Community support helps make sure that even more volunteers can be recruited and trained!
